Hackett London 2015 Spring Summer Polo Advert featuring British Army Polo

As the Official Clothing Provider of the APOLOA, Hackett was founded in 1979 by Jeremy Hackett and Ashley Lloyd-Jennings from a stall on London’s Portobello Road. The first shop, on the “wrong end” of the King’s Road, in London Chelsea district, was selling only used clothes. The company gradually expanded over several years, increasing the number of branches and moving from acquiring and selling second-hand clothing to designing and selling its own items. As well as expanding geographically, the company has increased its range of services. As well as manufacturing and selling clothing items, Hackett offers personal and bespoke tailoring, a range of spectacles, grooming products, and a barbers in their flagship store in Sloane Street, London. Often quoted as the sport ‘played’ by kings, Hackett’s association with polo is well known and immortalised in the now, iconic Hackett Polo Shirt. From humble beginnings of providing shirts for a Household Cavalry team playing out of Guard’s Polo Club Hackett has made a welcome return to the polo field by becoming the sponsor of the British Army Polo Team and the newly entitled Hackett Rundle Cup. www.hackett.com |
